What is "Pending"?
After you register an e-mail is sent to you that asks you to click a link to verify the authenticity of your account. Once you click the link, your account becomes active and you can then sign in, update your entry, participate in the message boards, and contact other members.
Unfortunately, many email systems and free services block email messages from many sources including legitimate sources like services and newsletters that you may have requested. You may want to consider using a non-free email account.
If you do not get an e-mail after 90 minutes of registering . . .
- Check your 'Junk' or 'Spam' folders for your e-mail message
- Add jamestown@alumnichannel.net to your 'safe list', 'white list' or as a 'friend' to allow e-mails
- If you are using a Spam filter (SpamKiller, AntiSpam, etc.) or blocker that requires confirmation from the sender or is set to reject e-mail from certain domains, please enable it to receive e-mail from jamestown@alumnichannel.net. You can do this by adding alumni@alumnichannel.net to your e-mail 'safe list', 'white list' or adding this address as a 'friend'.
- If your e-mail is one of the following: aol.com, yahoo.com, msn.com, hotmail.com, comcast.net, netzero.net, adelphia.net, cox.net, bellsouth.net, netscape.net, verizon.net, cs.com, it's possible that your e-mail may never arrive.
- Finally, if you don't receive an e-mail after 24 hours (and your name is listed as 'Pending'), consider it undelivered and enter your details below in order to have another e-mail sent to you.
- Be sure to check all your folders (bulk, inbox, trash, etc.) as the e-mail will be sent to your e-mail address.
- If you don't receive your new e-mail confirmation contact support for assistance (be sure to include your name and year).
